Lund Grille Inserts
I’ve spent a lot of time and effort (not to mention money) working on my truck to make it stand out. To that end, ‘I dreaded the thought of driving down the road and filling the grille & radiator with bugs and other debris. Fortunately Lund offers the solution to this problem. It’s called the “Screen Front”. A similar product called the “Cold Front” does the same but also blocks the cold air in the wintertime.
What I found was that during normal operation, the “screen front” product ended up blocking too much air flow over the radiator and therefore the engine would come close to overheating on the highway. So what I decided to do because I really like the way they make the truck look is to use them when the truck is on static display at shows and events. This way I can cover up any bugs and grit caught up in the radiator so the truck will look sharp, but then I can pop them out for driving. it’s nice to have the means to be able to keep the truck looking show ready even after driving a thousand miles to get there.
